Visa exemption for travel to Brazil

Brazil exempts visitor visas from Australia, Canada, The United States, and Japan.

Certainly, you already heard that Brazil is one of the most welcoming countries in the world. Well,  let me tell you something that you probably do not know yet: its government is working on diplomatic relations with some countries in order to attract more foreign tourists to these tropical lands.

In 2018 the Brazilian government exempted visitor visa for citizens from Australia, Canada, Japan, and The United States who intended to travel during the Olympics and Paralympics games. According to the Ministry of Tourism, these countries had sent more than 53 thousand tourists from July to August.

Since last year, these 04 nationalities have the benefit of an electronic visa which has provided less red tape and attracted 40% more people interested to visit Brazil. They are also responsible for 9,5% of the total of foreign tourists who visited the country in 2017.

Once the numbers seem promising, this year the current government decided to open its arms for good to them. Starting from June 17th, 2019 Australians, Americans, Canadians, and Japanese tourists do not need to apply for a visitor visa anymore. They can stay in Brazil for 90 days and postpone their stay for another 90 days, no longer than 180 days during the period of 12  months.  The entry is valid for leisure, business, transit, artistic, and sports activities.

The visa waiver is one of the flags of the  World Tourism Organization (WTO) and the decision was praised by representatives of the sector.  The expectation of the National Tourism Plan is to achieve at least 12 million foreign tourists by 2022.

Of course, you are not going to let this opportunity pass by, right? So, book your trips, pack your bag, get your passport, and come to live all amazing experiences that only Brazil has to offer.
