Norwegian Air launches low cost flights between United Kingdom and Brazil

First low-cost Norwegian Air flight to Brazil is coming up. The airline is going to fly 04 times a week, from Rio de Janeiro (Galeão Airport) to London (Gatwik), starting on March 31st.

The airline is going to fly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The aircraft will hold up to 344 passengers in economy and premium classes.

The flights depart from Rio de Janeiro at 10:25 pm, arriving the next day at 1:35pm at Gatwick Airport. The flights depart from London at noon, arriving in Rio de Janeiro at 7.25 p.m. The convenience of flight schedules will also provide Norwegian customers with the opportunity to easily connect to the London-Rio de Janeiro service using the European network of short distance flights from the airline.

The tickets are available to purchase at Norwegian website starting from £240 in the coach class and £550 in the premium economy.

“We were very happy to have supported Norwegian in this process of opening the direct route from Rio de Janeiro to London. One of the main goals of our Diplomatic Mission in Brazil is to expand the relationship between Brazil and the United Kingdom on several fronts, such as in politics, tourism, science, business and investment. We believe that this new line will enable more Brazilians to know the UK beyond London and we hope that Brazilian companies can take advantage of this moment to establish their business on British soil and that British companies will know more about the Brazilian market, “added Vijay Rangarajan, British Ambassador to Brazil.
